Overview
Dewatering Technician: Your Next Heavy-Hitter Role in Mining Infrastructure. Are you a hands-on operator with heavy machinery skills and deep experience in water management? Join a crucial 4-person team managing the lifeblood of our mine's operations. This is a challenging, heavy-duty role where your technical expertise directly impacts project success.
Responsibilities
* Water Flow Mastery: Manage the critical flow of water across the site, including water management of ponds (sampling/chemical addition).
* Specialised Infrastructure: Hands-on involvement in laying pipe, poly welding, installing valves, and conducting essential pressure testing.
* Heavy Fabrication: Execute poly welding procedures, which involves operating a forklift/IT to transport large pipes, using a chainsaw for precise cutting, and welding with hot plate/pressure clamp systems.
* Safety & Compliance: Take ownership of site integrity, including fencing critical areas and adhering to all safety protocols.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Core Equipment Operation: Proven ability to safely and efficiently operate:
o IT (Integrated Tool Carriers)
o Forklifts
o Trucks
* Physical Classification: This is a physically demanding role classified as HEAVY physical demand.
Must-Haves
* Driver's License: Ideally possess an MR (Medium Rigid) Driver's Licence (Highly advantageous).
* Pre-Employment: Must successfully complete a full Pre-Employment Medical, including a Drug & Alcohol screening.
* Experience in water management (Ideal)
