As our highly valued IT Advisor - Internal Audit based in Brisbane or Sydney, you will be responsible for executing and supporting audit and advisory services across technology, as well as business process (if needed), functions in line with the Internal Audit Plan and the Great Southern Bank values.
You'll make an impact by:
* Contribute to the development of a multi-year risk based internal audit plan on a rolling basis.
* Support audit scoping and draft planning documents, including scoping letters, assessment of management's control and risk and control matrix (RACM).
* Execute and deliver audit deliverables for your assigned areas on technology and non-technology audits.
* Support issues and observation monitoring, escalation and weekly reporting to management stakeholders. Further, support drafting audit reports and issues.
* Build and foster strong working relationships with stakeholders. You are a trusted business advisor who works actively with technology and business team members to address risk and control issues.
* Support creating an Internal Audit culture of exceptional service, teamwork, commitment to excellence and a professional ethic in line with the bank's strategic priorities and brought to life through our values.
Do things differently with us To succeed in this role, you will have:
* 2-4 plus years experience in a similar role in the financial services or professional services industries, ideally in the capacity of Internal or External Audit or other Lines of Assurance.
* Familiar with technology, data, and cybersecurity risk frameworks, controls, and testing.
* Exposure to cloud and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, and related technologies.
* Data analytics skills and experience, ideally using Databricks, PowerBI or similar (desirable).
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and able to work on concurrent projects.
* Sound data interrogation and analytical skills with the ability to recognise, analyse and evaluate risks and controls and provide practical recommendations.
* Ability to engage proactively, communicate clearly, build trust with and education stakeholders to effectively drive and complete audit work.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
