Senior Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Supply

This role is a key part of ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient distribution of medications within a large public hospital.

* The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and rostering pharmacy technicians and stores officers.

In this position, you will work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver exceptional patient-centred medicine-related care.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have experience in training and assessing staff to ensure performance meets the required standard.

Additional responsibilities include purchasing and inventory management duties, as well as working with other senior pharmacy technicians across the state to ensure a consistent approach.

This is a permanent full-time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Eligible applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria, which includes possessing or actively enrolling in a relevant qualification such as Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance (Hospital and Community Health Pharmacy Assistance).

About the Role:

This Senior Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Supply position plays a vital role in supporting the Manager – Medicines Supply and ensuring an efficient and high-quality medicines supply service.

You will provide leadership to pharmacy technicians and stores officers working in the Medicines Supply area, including coordinating and rostering staff, training and assessing performance, and undertaking purchasing and inventory management duties.
