We currently have a temporary full-time position available.What You'll Be DoingUnder the supervision of the Senior Social Worker, the Level 1 /2 social worker will provide support to clients from a refugee background with complex needs. The role will be responsible for high quality psychosocial assessments, providing case management support and advocacy, facilitating referrals to community organisations, and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to ensure positive client outcomes. Ideally the candidate will have an understanding and interest in the challenges faced by newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers.Where You'll Be WorkingThe NSW Refugee Health Service is a friendly, dynamic, multicultural environment. You will help us give newly arrived patients from a refugee background a great welcome to the health system.The service is based in the heart of Liverpool, not in the hospital.You’ll have the chance to work closely with patients, including undertaking home visits and be exposed to a variety of disciplines and specialties. Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
