The Role:
We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to work between our busy GP & Skin cancer care clinics. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front desk. Whether you’re managing appointments, handling phone inquiries, or supporting our team with administrative tasks, your friendly and professional approach will make all the difference.
The position offered is casual and can become permanent for the right candidate after a trial period. The role is typically 24 to 38 hours per week.
What You’ll Do:
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment book.
- Efficiently handle patient check-ins, check-outs, and billing processes.
- Answer phone inquiries and assist with patient concerns.
- Maintain patient records and adhere to confidentiality standards.
About You:
- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills (experience with Best Practice a plus).
- Knowledge of Medicare, experience with Workcover billings, insurance reports, skin cancer billings and recalls will be highly regarded.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
