As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being, independence, and dignity of those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming) while ensuring comfort and privacy
* Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
* Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping
* Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to foster social interaction and mental well-being
* Health Monitoring: Report any changes in health or behavior to the office team
* Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments or social events
* Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns
What You Bring:
* The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required)
* A current National Police Records Check, dated within the last 3 months (or willingness to apply)
* Certificate in Aged Care or Community Care or Disability is desirable
* A Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply)
* An NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
* A current Victorian driver's license
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Minimum of 2 doses COVID 19 Vaccination
* Being bilingual is desirable but not necessary
* Empathy, patience, and respect for the individuality of those you care for
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with care teams
* Understanding of aged care and disability issues
