Be part of a dynamic culinary team in a newly revitalised beachfront restaurant. As the Sous Chef, you will play a key role in leading kitchen operations and delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a high-volume or premium dining venue. You will be responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of menus showcasing seasonal produce and daily fresh seafood.
Additionally, you will oversee the preparation and cooking from the wood-fired oven, ensuring consistency and excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP
* Passion for coastal-inspired cuisine and fresh, local produce
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
