About the Role
As our Workshop Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of our Bendigo workshop operations. You’ll lead a skilled team, ensuring efficient, high-quality fleet maintenance and repairs. Your leadership will help us maintain our reputation for safety, reliability, and excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
1.Supervising and supporting workshop staff.
2.Scheduling and managing all planned and corrective fleet maintenance.
3.Maintaining the highest standards in safety, compliance, and workmanship.
4.Managing the workshop budget.
5.Fostering a positive, safety-first culture.
6.Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and customer needs.
7.Supporting the transition to our new purpose-built depot.
About You
You’ll bring a proven track record of leading teams in a transport, warehousing, or similar operational environment, with strong organisational skills and a passion for safety and quality.
We’re looking for someone with:
1.Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics is preferred, however applicants with relevant experience will also be considered.
2. Previous management experience in transport, warehousing, or related industries (bus experience ideal but not essential).
3.Strong organisational and leadership skills.
4.An interest in working with Electric Vehicles (EVs).
5.A results-driven mindset with a focus on safety and compliance.
6.Experience managing large-scale operations and understanding Chain of Responsibility (COR).
7.A commitment to delivering excellent service.
