We are looking for a passionate, qualified and experienced Full‑time Chef to work at Moons Fresh Sushi, Wollongong. We are an established and busy restaurant serving our loyal customers since 2016.
Duties and responsibilities:
Cooking food items and ensuring food quality, portion control, presentation and consistency across all dishes
Menu planning and pricing
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
Manage stock levels, monitor supplies, and place orders
Communicate with management on profit margin, estimate food labour cost, and negotiate supply orders.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to maintain quality and service efficiency.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours.
Requirements:
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Must have 1 year of work experience.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Preferable)
