Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education and the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne. On 1 January 2026 Alfred Health will merge with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to form Bayside Health – a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for over 1.2 million Victorians. The merger will strengthen the workforce and create new training, education and career opportunities.
* Part time: 45.6 hours per fortnight
* Fixed term: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
* Classification: Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist Grade 1

The Position
This role bridges the gap between clinician and researcher, providing allied health clinical skills within funded research studies, including any of the PROMOTE FASTRACK and Alfred Pathways to Rehabilitation programmes. The successful candidate will deliver services appropriate to their level of experience and competency, typically 3 days per week.
Key selection criteria
Essential
* Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or exercise physiology
* AHPRA registration
* GCP certification
* Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
* Effective written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of people
Desirable
* Understanding of electrical stimulation
* Experience working with patients with neurological illness
* Knowledge of grant applications and the Australian funding sector
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
* Experience using electronic data capture systems
* Experience developing ethics applications
* Experience in study set‐up, data collection and management
