Primary Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a proactive and compassionate teaching assistant to work in mainstream primary schools in Atherstone, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This role involves working both 1:1 and in small groups with children across Reception to Year 6, helping them access learning and develop socially and emotionally within the classroom environment.
Job Description:
• Supporting pupils with mild to moderate SEN within a mainstream classroom
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual support plans
• Providing tailored literacy and numeracy support through intervention groups
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation through consistent and nurturing approaches
• Helping children develop confidence, independence, and social skills
• Supporting pupils with sensory or communication needs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Enhanced DBS Child workforce - Must be on the update service.
• 2x References are a must in order to clear your file.
• Teaching Assistant – Level 2 Qualification or similar.
