Role Description
Nexus is seeking an experienced Atlassian Solution Architect (Contract) to support the delivery of Atlassian platform implementations for a range of clients.
This is a hands‐on consulting role responsible for designing and implementing Atlassian solutions, leading technical delivery, and supporting organisations through the adoption of new ways of working.
The ideal candidate is highly autonomous and comfortable stepping into client environments, running implementation projects, and delivering high‐quality solutions with minimal supervision.
You will work directly with Nexus leadership and client stakeholders to design, configure, and deploy Atlassian solutions that support product development, service delivery, and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and configure solutions using Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery
* Build and configure workflows, issue types, fields, automation rules, permissions, and boards
* Run discovery sessions and translate business requirements into technical configurations
* Support organisations through change management and new system adoption
* Develop documentation including operating models, governance frameworks, and system documentation
* Configure integrations and support ecosystem tooling where required
* Provide guidance on Atlassian best practices and platform architecture
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive experience implementing Atlassian solutions in enterprise environments
* Strong expertise in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
* Experience designing workflows, automation rules, permission models, and governance frameworks
* Experience leading consulting engagements or implementation projects
* Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills
* Experience supporting organisational change and platform adoption
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical capabilities

* Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps
* Experience implementing Atlassian platforms across product, engineering, and service teams
