Key Responsibilities
* Manage event planning and delivery, ensuring seamless execution
* Lead and support a small events team, promoting smooth daily operations
* Liaise with stakeholders to coordinate event details, maintaining strong relationships
* Manage budgets, track expenses, and negotiate with suppliers and venues
* Oversee run sheets, presentations, collateral, and event communications
* Attend events, coordinating registrations, ticketing, accommodation, and event logistics
* Manage awards program entries, judging schedules, and on-site event operations
* Review and improve existing systems and processes, driving efficiency
Requirements
* Proven experience in similar, high-volume events management roles, preferably within member-based organizations
* Strong leadership skills, with ability to mentor and manage a small team
* End-to-end event management experience, from planning to execution
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach
* Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Budget management experience, with confident negotiation skills
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
* Resilient, calm under pressure, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
* Competent in Microsoft Office and event management systems
* Interest in the building, construction, or professional services industries is beneficial
About Us
We offer a full-time permanent position, with a salary range of $85,000–$95,000 + Super. Our South Melbourne office location offers a hybrid work arrangement, along with great benefits, including salary packaging and additional leave options.
