Based in Maitland NSW, we currently have multiple SIL and SDA homes in the local area where we provide 24/7 care and support.
We aspire to deliver the highest level of professional accommodation and care. With a strong focus on ensuring our services are driven by the choices and aspirations of the people we support.
UCC are looking for passionate Disability Support Workers eager to join our team. Employment will be casual, however could lead to permanent for the right person.
To be considered for this position, the successful applicant must meet the following essential criteria:
Candidates must be Australian citizens to be eligible for this position.
* Certificate III or IV in Community/ Disability Services/ Aged Care/ AIN or equivalent qualification
* All Certificate III/IV qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to determine suitability for the role.
* Current Drivers Licence
* Current First Aid Certificate including CPR
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* NDIS Orientation Module Completion Certificate
* Infection Control Certificate
* Available for shift work, including active nights, as our homes operate 24/7
The following criteria is desirable but not essential:
* Experience working with people with disabilities or challenging behaviours
* Mental Health training
* Experience in Mental Health care
* Tracheostomy care
* Knowledge of Work Health and Safety in the Disability Sector
* Strong communication skills
* Access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
