The Opportunity
Become a Mechanical Fitter with Holcim at our Hulland Ward site, the UK's largest precast concrete facility. This permanent role involves regular shifts and on-site work, allowing you to be part of a company committed to safety, innovation, and sustainable construction. Here's what you can look forward to:
1. Tackling equipment maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting site operations.
2. Performing planned and urgent maintenance to keep operations smooth.
3. Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
4. Keeping work areas organised, safe, and hazard-free.
5. Helping train other team members in maintenance tasks.
6. Following safety guidelines and completing required documentation.
Who You Are
You're a skilled, motivated fitter with a technical background and a commitment to safety. You thrive in hands-on roles within a supportive, team-driven environment. To be a good fit, you should have:
* NVQ Level 3 or similar qualification, with experience in welding, cutting, and fabrication.
* Ideally, familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
* Good organisation skills, able to meet schedules and deadlines.
* Attention to detail, safety consciousness, and adaptability.
* Flexibility to handle rotational shifts.
* A proactive attitude and a desire to improve processes.
