About the Role
This is a hands-on Assistant Accountant role that will provide broad exposure across financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team and management, ensuring accuracy and compliance across day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll and payment processing for approximately 20 employees.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist with BAS, GST, FBT, and other tax compliance requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting as required.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within financial services or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Exposure to BAS and tax compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) is highly desirable
