About the Role
We're passionate about building software that solves big problems for our customers. As a QA Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products for our clients and end-users. Working closely with the QA Lead and the Head of Development, you'll use a proactive, analytical approach to contribute to the success of our software.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects for our users, employing your keen attention to detail to conduct thorough testing in an agile team. This position is crucial in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our software solutions.
What You'll Do
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans.
* Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
* Perform API testing using tools like Postman to ensure robust backend integrations.
* Utilise SQL for data validation and to support test case development.
* Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process.
* Conduct production validation, post-release smoke tests, and critical issue investigations.
* Establish and manage the QA function, including setting up processes, tools, and best practices for manual and automated testing.
* Lead sprint-level QA efforts using Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
What You'll Need
* Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
* Proven experience in manual testing, including proficiency in API automation and CI/CD.
* A minimum of 2-3 years of proven QA and testing experience is required for this position.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment with frequent releases, adapting seamlessly to changing work assignments.
* Proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps or similar platforms for test management and collaboration.
* Strong proficiency with automation tools such as; xUnit, Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
* Strong attention to detail, enabling you to meticulously test the product or system and identify even the most obscure bugs and defects.
* Ability to identify gaps in Acceptance Criteria and raise issues for rectification in an Agile Delivery environment.
* Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, driven by a passion for delivering exceptional quality.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, coupled with a proactive mindset towards problem-solving.
