The Role
This is a 12 month contract for an experienced Financial Accountant supporting the organisation across their tax compliance and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare and lodge BAS on a monthly and quarterly basis
* Assist with income tax calculations and year-end tax returns
* Support year-end accounting processes in line with tax requirements
* Review compliance work and provide accounting advice to the wider organisation
* Support the preparation of annual and half-year statutory reports
* Ensure accuracy and compliance across all reporting requirements
* Support ad hoc accounting and financial projects as required
About You
* CA/CPA qualified with relevant experience in tax and financial accounting
* Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
* Previous exposure to large corporate or property environments desirable
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
