The opportunity
Right now, we have an ongoing full-time opportunity for a Road Worker Grade 4 Concrete Finisher to join our Regional Construction team based in Gundagai, NSW.
You will work on key projects throughout the region where camping away from home will be required. You will also be on call, so it is a requirement that you reside close to the depot (within 50 km distance).
Experienced in concrete finishing works, you understand what it takes to get the job done. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* maintenance of established pavements
* construction of new or enhanced pavements
* establishment and maintenance of roadside fixtures and signage
* application of road marking materials
* application of bituminous sealing materials
* establishment and maintenance of traffic signals and driver aid devices

About you
You're a reliable team player who puts safety of yourself and team first. You have a keen eye for detail and experience in concrete finishing works.
You communicate well and enjoy manual, hands on tasks to support the construction and maintenance of roads as part of a team.
You're practical, adaptable and enjoy learning quickly on the job.
You're also confident operating major plant and have proven experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly.
You must possess a valid Driver Licence and White Card on application.
You will be required to work outside normal working hours and attend after hour's callouts. You will be prepared to travel throughout the region when required which will be time away from home.
Whilst not essential, if you have a truck licence or the ability to load plant on the back of truck/trailer this would be highly desirable.
Wage and Benefits
The wage for this position is Road Worker Grade 4 ($1,426.20) per week plus Superannuation and Allowances.
