We are delivering safe and reliable electricity to millions through a growing transmission network which traverses properties owned by approximately 17,000 individual landowners. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Reception and Administration Officer to join our Major Projects Community and Stakeholder Engagement Team at Transgrid. As the Reception and Administration Officer you will be the face of the Transgrid Discovery Hub (the Hub) and welcome all attendees providing them with information and support. This is a part time role which may require evening and weekend work. You will engage with community members not excluding landowners, school students, local business owners and elected government executives to help educate them on the transition to renewable energy and the role Transgrid plays in this transition. As Reception and Administration Officer you will be responsible for: Administration and Reception duties for the Discovery Hub Supporting the business needs of The Hub including but not limited to general reception duties, facilities management, event bookings, deliveries and organising event catering. Recording attendees and engagement with the community, landowners and stakeholders in Transgrid's Customer Relationship Management database. Being a friendly and welcoming person who can take attendees through the Discovery Hub Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including contractors, community members, local government, Members of Parliament, community and industry groups and government agencies. Being a point of contact for the community when resolving specific landowner issues. Attending and contributing to community and stakeholder meetings and briefings Skills & Experience Friendly, exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interface with all levels of personnel, visitors, and vendors/contractors. Receptionist or office administration experience Community engagement experience Excellent people skills, patience and empathy Ability to work on high profile and sensitive community issues Ability to be calm, resilient and empathetic to emotional community members Hold a current Australian drivers licence Desirable Facility management experience General knowledge of the electricity supply industry.
