The Good Grocer has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our Support Office team.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely within the Finance team, this role plays a key part in delivering high-quality financial services across our diverse portfolio of businesses. This is a hands‐on position suited to someone who enjoys partnering with operational teams and contributing to the commercial success of a fast‐paced supermarket retail environment.

This is a permanent full‐time position based at our modern Applecross Support Office, offering spectacular city views and convenient access to Canning Bridge Train Station.

Skills Required
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CA qualified or working towards preferred)
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capability
* Experience preparing, reporting and presenting annual budgets
* Demonstrated ability to review processes and drive improvements
* Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office
* Experience with Sage Intacct, desirable but not essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly KPI reporting
* Complete month‐end financial reporting, including journals, accruals and general ledger integrity checks
* Lead and support annual budget and forecast preparation and analysis
* Conduct detailed financial analysis of store operations and projects
* Assist with BAS preparation and compliance requirements
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
* Identify and implement process and system improvements across the Group
* Contribute to finance‐related project work
