About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Product Quality Department Manager to maintain McDonald’s strict product consistency, food safety, and operational quality standards across restaurants in Mackay and surrounding regional areas.
This role is highly specialised and requires McDonald’s-specific managerial experience. The focus is on product quality and safety, not general restaurant profitability or HR management.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to)
* Monitor food safety, production processes, and product compliance.
* Conduct root cause analysis to resolve quality issues effectively.
* Train staff on McDonald’s product handling and quality procedures.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation.
* Audit production systems to ensure consistency across shifts.
* Reduce waste and maintain product efficiency without compromising quality.
* Report quality performance to the Store General Manager (Restaurant Manager) and Franchisee.
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma in Leadership, Hospitality, or related discipline, plus 12 months of McDonald’s managerial experience; OR
* Three (3) years of McDonald’s managerial experience if no formal qualification.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with the Store General Manager (Restaurant Manager).
