Overview
We are looking for two Platform Engineers to design, build, and scale enterprise‐grade AI platform capabilities, with a strong focus on agent‐based systems and orchestration.
These roles sit at the core of our AI Control Plane initiative—enabling teams to build, deploy, and operate AI agents and AI‐powered services safely, reliably, and at scale. You will play a key role in engineering reusable platform capabilities that support agent design, execution, lifecycle management, and governance.
This is a hands‐on role combining platform engineering, distributed systems thinking, and practical experience building production‐ready AI agents. The role can be based in any location across Australia.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and scale enterprise‐grade AI platform capabilities with a focus on agent‐based systems and orchestration.
* Engineer reusable platform capabilities that support agent design, execution, lifecycle management, and governance.
* Collaborate with teams to enable them to build, deploy, and operate AI agents and AI‐powered services safely, reliably, and at scale.
* Apply distributed‐systems thinking to build production‐ready AI agents.
Qualifications
* Strong software engineering experience building distributed, production‐grade systems.
* Proven experience designing and implementing AI agents or orchestration‐based systems.
* Hands‐on experience with LLM integration and APIs, Retrieval‐Augmented Generation (RAG), agent frameworks and orchestration patterns, workflow composition and tool integration.
* Experience building platform abstractions (APIs, SDKs, shared services).
* Strong understanding of production engineering practices (resilience, monitoring, incident response).
* Ability to balance trade‐offs between performance, latency, cost, and risk.
* Experience with AI control planes, gateways or multi‐model routing (desirable).
* Exposure to evaluation, benchmarking or prompt lifecycle practices.
* Understanding of security, compliance, and responsible AI controls.
* Familiarity with event‐driven architectures and open standards.
Success Metrics
* Scalable, reusable AI agent capabilities adopted across multiple teams.
* Reliable, observable, and production‐ready AI systems.
* Platform‐led delivery reducing bespoke implementations.
* Strong governance and risk controls embedded into AI solutions.
* Improved developer productivity through consistent tools and patterns.
* Continuous improvement driven by performance data, evaluation and iteration.
Benefits
* Flexible work arrangements supporting a healthy work/life balance.
* Various leave options including culture, lifestyle, and wellbeing leave.
* Tailored learning and development opportunities.
* Opportunities to give back to the community through volunteering initiatives.
* Special offers on banking products and discounts from top brands.
* Employee‐only mortgage rates.
