Job Title:
A Senior Electrical Technician is required to join our team at National Oilwell Varco.
About the Role:

* Maintain systems and procedures, identifying improvements where possible.
* Relevant company and branch depot systems are understood and followed effectively.
* Participation in the development of and training in new policies & procedures is positive & supportive.
* Situations that breach policies and procedures are identified and reported to relevant management.
* Areas for improvement in relevant and branch systems are identified and raised with management as appropriate.
* Generators are repaired and serviced on premises and client sites to meet standards.
* Generators are inspected & tested in accordance with standards.
* Modifications of generators are completed to meet standards.
* Issues and problems with generators are identified, diagnosed and resolved.
* All applicable documentation is completed and maintained in a timely manner.
* Workshop housekeeping standards are maintained to meet and OH&S requirements.
* Client site procedures are understood and adhered to.
* Assistance identifying and ensuring parts are sourced and ordered as per procedures.
* Required OHS checks are completed to compliance.
* Company values are embraced and adopted.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving systems and procedures, as well as providing technical expertise and support to colleagues and customers. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard of quality and safety.
* Provide timely and accurate information and manage costs effectively.
* Purchase orders received are signed off by manager & comply with PO policy.
* Supply usage and wastage is minimized.
* Stock is checked off against delivery dockets.
* Orders are placed through existing suppliers with accounts, where possible.
* Being familiar with the location of First Aid treatment centers, fire protection facilities and evacuation procedures.
* Apply Personal Isolations, and Out of Service Tags to defective or hazardous equipment. in accordance with site/client rules.
* Inspecting the workplace and equipment prior to use and reporting any defects or hazards they are unable to correct themselves.
* Using correct Personal Protective Equipment properly.
Requirements:
* Hold a valid Energy Safety WA Electricians License
* 3 years' experience in mechanical electrical trade.
* Electrical License Nominee Holder preferable but not essential
* Familiarity and understanding of AS/NZS3000 technical manuals and reports
* Experience with generator fleet from 20kVA to 1250kVA and advantage
* Ability to gain a mine medical and site entry induction requirements as required
* Provide a National Police Clearance as required
