We are seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to join our team. As a diesel mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy earthmoving and agricultural equipment.
Our ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in diesel mechanics and minimum 5 years of post-trade experience. They will also possess extensive knowledge of diesel systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
Job Description
The successful applicant will work on a variety of projects, including breakdowns, scheduled servicing, hydraulic repairs, hydraulic hose replacements, electrical repairs, diagnostics, and fault finding. They will also perform component change outs and rebuilds, as well as undertake truck COIs (Certified of Inspection).
Requirements
* Trade qualification in diesel mechanics
* Minimum 5 years of post-trade experience
* Comprehensive experience with heavy earthmoving and agricultural equipment
* Extensive knowledge of diesel systems and components
* Certificate II in Automotive Airconditioning Technology/Refrigerant Handling Licence (highly regarded)
* Approved Examiner (Heavy Vehicle Inspection Module) (highly regarded)
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
