To meet the demand of our customers,, the CLS workforce of approximately 350 dedicated people launders more than 500 tonnes of textiles a week across 4 Plants and 3 Distribution Centres with logistics spread across a fleet of 30 vehicles.

The Role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of daily laundry operations at our Gladstone site.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a workforce of approximately 70 employees, ensuring capability, coverage, performance and engagement align with company benchmarks and expectations.
* Maintaining and improving laundry floor output across sorting, washing, finishing and packing departments to meet strict processing timelines
* Analysing current systems, workflows and staffing structures and recommending improvements to drive productivity and efficiency.
* Monitoring and improving operational and financial performance, including the preparation of reports including weekly KPIs.
* Creating and authorising staff rosters across split shifts.
* Hiring, onboarding and overseeing training of new employees.
* Coordinating logistics between customers and the laundry floor.
* Managing R&M resources to ensure optimal performance and reliability by proactively monitoring fit-for-purpose preventative maintenance schedules and co-ordinating reactive repair works as required.
* Building and maintaining positive customer relationships and addressing operational or service issues proactively.
* Working within established WHS systems and processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Undertaking and reviewing work studies and assisting with the implementation of approved operational improvements.
* Reviewing safety operating procedures and identifying departures from agreed standards.
* Working Monday to Friday, with some weekend work during peak demand periods (typically holiday periods).

* High competence using Microsoft Office and other relevant industry software
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
* Electrical or R&M fitting trade qualifications.
* HR or WHS qualifications or experience.
* Forklift licence.
* Boiler operation licence.
* Light Rigid or higher driver licence.
* A C Class driver licence is mandatory.
* Previous laundry experience is welcome but not required.
Salary & Application
This role offers a salary of up to $100,000 per year, based on experience and skills
Salary progression will be considered based on demonstrated performance, outcomes and contribution to the business.
