About the role
Larrakeyah Primary School is seeking a dedicated Classroom Support professional to join our dynamic team on a casual basis. As a Classroom Support, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers in providing an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students, particularly those with special educational needs.
What you'll be doing
* Providing individualised support to students with special needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities
* Collaborating closely with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies and adapting teaching materials as required
* Monitoring student progress and communicating effectively with teachers and parents to ensure the best outcomes
* Assisting with the preparation and organisation of the classroom and learning resources
* Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the wellbeing and development of all students
What we're looking for
* Relevant experience in a classroom support or teacher's aide role, ideally working with students with special educational needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers and parents
* Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of all students
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse and changing needs of the classroom
* A relevant qualification in education, special education or a related field is highly desirable
