We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our finance function and contribute to the smooth operation of our day-to-day accounting processes.
In this hands-on, full-time role, you will support the Finance Team by ensuring accurate reconciliations, efficient processing, and strong compliance across finance activities. This position offers variety across accounting, payroll support, administration, and systems work — ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse and collaborative role.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Manage Accounts Receivable including invoicing, collections, and resolving discrepancies.
Assist with system enhancements, ad hoc reporting, and implementation support.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including recording, depreciation, and reconciliations.
Provide payroll backup and support to ensure operational continuity.
Assist the Accounts Payable function with invoice processing and vendor queries as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant payroll, superannuation, and finance legislation.
About You
You will bring strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and a commitment to supporting the broader team.
To be successful, you will have:
Experience in administration, accounts, finance and/or payroll.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational capability.
Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with ERP systems (advantageous but not essential).
A desire for ongoing professional growth and development.
