Position: Safety & Training Advisor
Location: Pilbara, WA
Roster: 8:6
Salary: Up to $150k /yr + Super

About the Role:
Reporting to site leadership, you will be responsible for providing advice, guidance, coaching and hands-on support across Health, Safety and Training. You'll be a proactive presence on site, embedding best-practice safety systems while ensuring training compliance and capability across maintenance crews.
This role plays a key part in driving safety excellence and ensuring our people go home safe — every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Support project risk management processes (General & Critical Risk)
* Conduct field interactions, inspections, audits and toolbox meetings
* Lead initial incident investigations and reporting (ICAM)
* Review and maintain site Management Plans (Safety Plans, Traffic Management Plans, etc.)
* Assist with injury management processes
* Collate and analyse safety and training data, preparing monthly performance reports
* Identify improvement opportunities and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
* Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) and gap analysis against site training matrices
* Deliver training, assessment and verification of competency (VOC) for maintenance personnel
* Develop, maintain and review training documentation
* Deliver nationally recognised training where competent and approved
What We Are Looking For:
* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (Diploma highly regarded)
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessing (TAE40116)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a site-based Safety or Safety & Training role within mining or maintenance environments
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management processes (JHA, Risk Registers, Critical Risk)
* Proven experience completing ICAM investigations
* Audit qualifications highly advantageous
* Excellent time management, planning and stakeholder engagement skills
