Overview
6-month contract with a 6-month contract extension. Canberra based. NV 1 clearance required. APS 6 Case Manager.
Responsibilities
* Enter, organise, review and analyse data related to outstanding complex cases involving the management of Commonwealth funds
* Conduct reviews against the department's debt recovery and financial accountability policies and processes
* Assess legacy and new debt cases for alignment with the department's recovery framework
* Draft recommendations and options for case resolution
* Liaise with finance, legal and program teams on recoveries, write-offs, or remediation actions
* Review and analyse breaches of financial obligations or contract conditions
* Collect and analyse documentation, liaise with relevant stakeholders, and build comprehensive case files
* Ensure adherence to procedural fairness and due diligence
* Draft templates and related documents supporting policy implementation
* Support the embedding of compliance culture across delivery teams
* Provide policy-informed advice on corrective actions and recovery strategies
* Inform cross-program learning with case insights
Requirements
* Experience in assessments, analysis and resolution of complex, compliance-driven cases, with a strong focus on debt management and resource accountability
* Able to operate in a Canberra-based role with NV 1 clearance
* Ability to draft recommendations, coordinate with finance, legal and program teams, and ensure alignment with departmental recovery frameworks
