Business Manager - Remote Australia Employment Services - Mornington Island

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure RAES services are delivered
- Establish and maintain governance structures that support accountability, compliance, risk management, and long-term service sustainability
- Ensure strong financial management, record-keeping, and reporting systems are in place
- Oversee delivery of tailored, strengths-based and culturally safe case management community projects, and employment services
- Monitor performance against RAES Key Performance Indicators (Quality, Effectiveness, Efficiency) and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, employers, community organisations, Traditional Owners, and government representatives
- Engage with communities to co-design and deliver community projects that reflect local needs and aspirations
- Recruit, mentor, and support staff, prioritising local employment opportunities
- Develop workforce capability through training, supervision, and performance management
- Ensure workplace culture promotes respect, safety, and wellbeing for staff and participants
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in program or business management
- Strong knowledge of compliance, governance, and financial management frameworks
- Experience leading diverse teams
- High-level skills in stakeholder engagement, particularly in remote and Indigenous community contexts
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes in line with funding agreements, KPIs, and regulatory requirements
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentations
- Experience working in or with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business, social sciences, or related fields

Requirements to be considered
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Complete an Australian History Criminal Check
- Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one before employment
- Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
