This is a hands‐on, end‐to‐end planning role with real influence — balancing supply, capacity and inventory to keep operations running smoothly and customers supplied. You'll own the supply and production planning cycle, driving both weekly execution and longer‐term planning horizons.
You'll partner closely with Operations, Commercial and Supply Chain to identify constraints early, optimise production, and drive better planning outcomes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain rolling production and supply plans to support operational and financial outcomes
* Own weekly production planning and scheduling for critical product groups
* Conduct capacity planning to identify constraints and enable proactive decision‐making
* Optimise supply decisions across sites, balancing cost, capacity and service delivery
* Support plants with short‐term scheduling and shutdown planning
* Drive inventory planning and performance, including stock levels, shortages and excess
* Lead cross‐functional discussions to resolve supply constraints and prioritise allocation decisions
* Develop planning insights and reporting using SAP, Excel and Power BI
Who are we looking for?
We're seeking a commercially minded, capable planner who can step into a critical operational role, build credibility quickly and bring structure, insight and sound judgement to complex planning decisions.
* Strong experience in supply, production or manufacturing planning
* Proven ability to balance demand, capacity and inventory in complex environments
* Background in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, FMCG or regulated industries
* Confident working with production schedules and plant operations
* Advanced skills in SAP and Excel (Power BI a bonus). Any experience with planning tools (Maestro IBP) will be advantageous
* Strong stakeholder skills — able to influence decisions across operations and commercial teams
* The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound trade‐off decisions
* Clear, confident communication and the ability to facilitate cross‐functional discussions
* High attention to detail with strong planning governance and disciplined management of assumptions, data and actions
* A collaborative, solution‐oriented mindset
* Resilience and accountability in a fast‐paced operational environment
* Supply Chain, Business or Engineering qualifications will be highly regarded, coupled with APICS certification would be advantageous
