As a Senior Child Contact Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in situations where parents are unable to manage contact arrangements. This position requires exceptional coordination and communication skills to facilitate smooth transitions between 'live with' and 'time with' parents, while also promoting positive relationships between children and their non-resident parent.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and promote safe and appropriate transfers of children between parents;
* Enhance children's relationships with non-resident parents through supervised visits;
* Assist separated parents in managing contact arrangements, ultimately aiming for self-management;
* Support the Team Leader in managing the Children's Contact Service and team.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications relevant to community welfare practice (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Social Science);
* Demonstrated relevant experience;
* Broad understanding of legislative requirements related to child support, child protection, and family violence;
* A current driver's license and willingness to travel overnight when required.
