About the role
We are seeking a Site Engineer to join the team and ensure seamless delivery. The Site Engineer will be conducting structural analysis to verify the design specifications of steel structures and temporary works verification.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Design and calculate the structures required during project works with particular reference to the temporary steel structures / platforms
* Review and comment on design executed by external design companies to ensure the design fulfils safety requirements under the Australian Health and Safety legislation
* Provide technical support during the installation process ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications
* Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during the installation process ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines
* Prepare work packs for site erection and installation
* Conduct site inspections to verify that works are carried out in accordance with design / specifications.
* Prepare Installation Certification of temporary structures
* Liaise with HSE Team for the identification of risk (Safety in Design)
* Support the Construction team with feasibility studies
* Interpret and implement technical drawings and plans
* Act as technical liaison between project management, design teams, manufacturing facilities and on-site construction teams
* Ensure that all installation activities comply with relevant industry regulations, standards and environmental guidelines
* Maintain accurate records of installation activities and all changes to project plans
* Utilise document management systems to transmit technical documentation to the Client (Aconex)
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practice to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the installation process.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* A recognised bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
* A minimum of five years' experience in structural engineering
* Experience working on large scale construction or similar projects
* Sound knowledge of ABCB Temporary Structure Standard
* Proven experience in design for construction works
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365, CAD software and 3D modelling
* Construction Induction White Card
* Excellent written and spoken English communication
