Payroll Specialist
NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd has been proudly operating since 1990. Our mining operations are in North Queensland, and our West Perth Corporate Office is home to several key functions, including HR and Finance.
About the Role
We're seeking a detail-driven payroll specialist to support our business and ensure our people are paid accurately and on time.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Process end-to-end payroll for monthly salaries and fortnightly wages with the support of our Senior Payroll Officer
* Maintain accurate employee and payroll records in SAP
* Process new starters, terminations, leave, salary sacrifice, super & adjustments
* Assist Finance and HR with monthly, ad hoc and year-end reporting
* Provide accurate payroll data to internal stakeholders and external partners
* Resolve payroll queries professionally and promptly
* Ensure full compliance with legislation, Awards, EAs and internal policies
* Assist with workers compensation claims and reporting
Your Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* 2-3 years' payroll experience in a medium-sized organisation
* SAP payroll experience or similar
* A strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
* Excellent accuracy, organisation and time management
* Clear communication skills with staff at all levels
* The ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
* A high level of discretion and confidentiality
* Bonus: experience in mining, resources or an industrial environment
