Both globally and in Australia, Palfinger provides superior technical support, parts availability and after sales service.We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Fitter to join our skilled Workshop team based in Newcastle.**Key duties include*** Workshop installations and pre-delivery inspection duties for all new or used cranes and hook loaders* Fabrication and installation of subframes from design to development and manufacture* Installation of new cranes to Palfinger standards* Service duties of new and used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders* Preparation of annual inspection certificates* Completion of all documentation* Always working in a safe manner and adhering to site policies and procedures in order to enhance the safety culture & performance of the site.**To be successful, you will need:*** Prior experience working in a similar industry* Hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent;* Experience working on heavy vehicles* Experience with cranes and or hook loaders an advantage* Ability to interpret drawings and procedures* Have strong attention to detail and quality workmanship* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills* Have demonstrated ability to work safely* Have good time management and work prioritisation skills* Have a current Drivers licence, HR preferable;* Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and a National Police Check.**What's on offer:*** A competitive salary package* Access to employee benefits account including discounts on groceries, electronics and more* Access to Employee Assistance Program* Access to an annual Health and Wellbeing reimbursement program* Monday to Friday roster* Supportive team and a clean, organised Workshop environment
