Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Manager to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) group in Brisbane to help support a range of projects.
The **Construction Manager **working primarily from the Brisbane (or Project) office shall support FEL2-Pre-feasibility, FEL3-feasibility and FEL4-execution phase(s) is responsible for the overall planning, direction, organization, and execution of all construction or maintenance work, to the highest safety and quality levels within time and costs constraints. The Construction Manager is primarily responsible for the development of the construction strategies and execution schedule. The Construction Manager participates in the design development of a construction project from concept to detail and oversees the organizational plans, detailed schedule development and implementation strategies.
- Be responsible for the planning of safe and environmentally acceptable construction execution methods by all parties, with support of the Project Manager and Project Health and Safety Manager.
- Coordinate with the client, project management, and project services in identifying required reporting procedures and formats for client and Hatch management needs
- Ensure Construction Work Packages (CWP) are defined to a sufficient level for the project phase.
- Liaise with project and operational representatives as required to ensure shutdowns, relocations, tie ins, etc. are planned safely and in a timely manner with minimum disruption.
- Develop site organization and staffing requirements and Plant and Equipment profiles, required to execute construction activities within project schedule and acceptable costs
- Contribute to ongoing maintenance of capital estimates, schedule and design as they pertain to construction.
- Establish the construction requirements for pre-assembly and/or modularisation
**You will bring to this role**:
- Demonstrated health and safety management focus in the all phases of project delivery.
- 10-15 years construction management experience on major projects or in heavy or industrial construction
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or Construction
- Strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate and lead a discipline focused teams and fit into a team environment
- Knowledge of the EPCM model of project delivery
