Our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. Within our logistics services business there are 17+ depots throughout Australia, allowing various development and progression opportunities.
Your Role
We are seeking a proactive Safety, Security & Systems Coordinator to drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE systems across our EO Services operations. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, compliant and high‐performing depot environment.
Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain HSE systems aligned to Major Hazard Facility requirements
* Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, standards and policies
* Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections, implementing effective controls
* Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Coordinate return‐to‐work and rehabilitation programs
* Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts and HSE training
* Maintain accurate safety records and audit documentation
* Support contractor safety management, including permits, documentation and audits
* Monitor environmental compliance in line with site management plans
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety & Environment
* Strong experience in HSE coordination within a regulated or high‐risk environment
* Proven ability in risk assessment, incident investigation and compliance management
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
* Experience delivering training and safety briefings
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
