Job Description
We are seeking a licensed Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of 8 years of work experience.
Responsibilities / Skills
* Perform engineering calculations, layout, and design systems in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures, and codes with minimal supervision.
* Apply practical knowledge to resolve project-related problems and conflicts.
* Make independent engineering decisions on assigned projects.
* Supervise subordinate personnel or assist other engineers or designers occasionally.
* Knowledge of discipline-specific and building codes.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrate leadership to educate clients on design and project requirements.
* Coordinate with Project Engineer and Project Manager on design scope, schedule, budget, and site issues.
* Assist in preparing design budgets and schedules, estimating discipline man-hours.
* Lead and assign design tasks to team members, ensuring timely and within-budget project completion.
* Implement system types as directed and produce comprehensive construction documents.
* Review engineering designs for function, coordination, and final selection.
* Conduct final reviews of engineering drawings.
* Maintain client contact and perform quality assurance.
* Mentor and motivate engineering designers.
* Uphold high standards of professional integrity, prioritizing the best interests of the company and clients.
* Meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
