Enhance your nursing skills in cancer care with our team. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join us in providing expert clinical care, education and support for patients undergoing radiation therapy.
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences by responding to patient needs as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Care Delivery: Providing excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met whilst undergoing cancer treatment.
* Patient Education: Providing education and support for patients.
* Treatment Administration: Delivering cancer treatment and supportive medication administration as per prescribed protocols.
* Nursing Management: Effectively managing nursing patient load.
* Communication: Facilitating effective lines of communication with medical officers, patient services staff and other members of the nursing team.
* Documentation: Ensuring all patient listed events are documented, communicated, and actioned.
* Procedure Management: Monitoring and maintaining procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice medical oncology nursing standards.
* Allied Health Integration: Establishing communication for allied health services using ISBAR communication tool to all allied health services along with supported documented evidence.
We're looking for individuals who possess:
* AHPRA Registration: Current registration with AHPRA.
* Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients.
* Analytical Skills: Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to Quality: Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
* Patient Focus: Strong commitment to quality patient care.

* Technical Skills: Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems.
