Manager Regional Libraries
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Manager Regional Libraries to contribute to Council's success.

About the Role
This is a key management role that is responsible for operational leadership and coordination of Council's regional libraries through strong people leadership, strategic planning, program development, resource management, facility design and membership attraction, to ensure Council's vision for library services is achieved.
Our vision for library services goes beyond books. We aim to create a genuine community hub where everyone and every story is important, contributing to a strong and connected community, sharing our resources and information and enhancing other Council activities.
Your role will include:
* Making a real difference and shaping the future of our organisation by providing strategic input and program development to increase community engagement and membership
* Being present, pro-active and solutions-focused and recognising that the community is the core of our business
* Working collaboratively with stakeholders to facilitate public relations and promote library services
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualification in Library Science (or a related discipline) recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association and/or comprehensive knowledge and skills gained from previous senior experience in medium to large libraries, or a related industry.
* Proven leadership experience and skills to successfully stimulate performance and foster teamwork across multiple work locations.
* High-level communication (oral and written English) and interpersonal skills, planning, organisational and time management skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
* Proven ability to lead organisational change and foster innovation.
* Experience in marketing, advocacy and community engagement.
* Demonstrated financial acumen, including grant writing and sponsorship development.
* Advanced digital literacy and knowledge of emerging technologies relevant to library services.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Library Management Systems.
* Must be eligible and willing to obtain upon appointment, a positive notice Working with Children Blue Card.
* Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
