About the Role
Capecare is looking for a Quality and Compliance Coordinator to join the Quality & Clinical Governance team. The role ensures all clinical governance and quality systems and processes, including incident management and consumer feedback, are effectively implemented, audited, and continuously improved across all service areas.
This position is best suited to a Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional with current AHPRA registration.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the quality and clinical teams in extracting and collating data from electronic databases for analysis.
* Facilitate the audit cycle, distribute and collect internal and external audits.
* Develop audit tools and resources to ensure compliance and quality outcomes.
* Participate in multidisciplinary teams, review clinical data, identify concerns, and develop improvement activities for the Plan for Continuous Improvement (PCI).
* Manage the feedback framework: collect, collate, assign to managers, and ensure feedback items are closed per the Feedback Procedure.
* Escalate non‐conformances to the Quality & Clinical Governance Manager.
* Extract data for monthly/quarterly reporting and support open disclosure, root cause investigations, and responses to complaints.
* Coordinate the Plan for Continuous Improvement cycle and maintain the PCI database.
* Oversee incident management systems, ensuring investigations, remediation actions, and closure timelines are adhered to.
* Extract and collate incident data for MDT reviews and escalation.
* Monitor incident trends and collaborate with managers to identify improvement areas.
* Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions where required.
* Identify opportunities to streamline or improve system efficiency.
* Develop and maintain key resources for service streams and re‐registration audit visits.
* Assume the systems administrator role for the residential Care Management System, eMMS, and Electronic Audit and Feedback System.
* Participate in creating and reviewing clinical policies, procedures, and resources.
Qualifications & Experience
* AHPRA Registration – Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional.
* Strong understanding of the Aged Care Strengthened Standards.
* Strong understanding of the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS).
* Experience in quality and compliance auditing.
* Experience researching policy and legislative changes.
