About The Role
The Cyber Security Risk Analyst will report to the ITIL, Cyber and Compliance Lead within the Corporate Services Directorate, specifically in the Information and Technology Unit. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the Council's cyber security posture by proactively identifying and mitigating risks across various IT platforms. As the primary point of contact for the Cyber Security Operations vendor, you will coordinate incident responses and work closely with SaaS providers to ensure compliance with security protocols. Your leadership in conducting risk assessments and developing educational programs will promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organisation. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in cyber security and risk management to join our team.
Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience with regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (e.g., ISO27000, NIST).
* Significant experience in cyber security risk analysis, preferably in the public sector.
* Proven ability to deliver education and awareness programs regarding cyber security.
Other Important Information
* The commencing salary for this position is up to $96k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $112k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation.
* We have a permanent full-time role available.
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
* We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite.
* This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
