The Role
This position suits entry-level candidates or those with experience in rock tools or underground mining. We seek motivated individuals who can provide exceptional customer service as part of our Operations Field Support team.
You will be based at our client's mine site in Western Australia, engaging directly with customers and performing Rock Tools (ROTO) operational activities. Our staff will provide comprehensive training to ensure your success.
This role offers opportunities to learn and apply Sandvik-specific knowledge and services in support of mining customers. Potential career paths include promotion to higher operations levels or transition into sales, service, supervisory, or management positions.
This position can be either FIFO or residential (Kalgoorlie). If FIFO, you must be based in Perth with reliable access to the Perth Domestic Airport.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive underground daily and manage drill consumables for drill rigs and sites.
* Manage drilling consumables inventories.
* Accurately record daily data through Sandvik iPad systems.
* Analyse and report on drilling consumable performance, condition, and failures.
* Engage positively with our client's mining operators.
* Sort, analyse, record, and service used drill bits and consumables.
Essential Requirements
* Valid manual C Class Driver's license.
* FIFO roster reliability (8 days on/6 days off – 12-hour days, day shift only).
* Fitness/capacity for work (employment medicals arranged by Sandvik required).
* Able to safely lift minimum of 40 kg.
* Pass a police clearance and drug test.
* Working rights for Australia.
* Strong customer focus and positive service orientation.
* Able to perform independently and in teams.
* Adaptable and resilient.
* Strong English communication skills.
