Our client is a leading global provider of advanced fabrication machinery is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to join its growing team. With over two decades of presence in the Australian market, the organisation operates modern technical centres across multiple states, showcasing the latest innovations in sheet‐metal processing technology. This opportunity is ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, understanding customer needs, and promoting high‐performance machinery and software solutions. The role is based in the Brisbane / Gold Coast region, with occasional travel interstate and overseas required.
About the role:
* Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with new and existing customers.
* Interpret customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
* Prepare quotations and support tender discussions, including negotiation of commercial terms.
* Meet regular sales targets and maintain accurate customer records.
* Prepare reports and updates for management.
* Coordinate sales projects, events, and technical demonstrations.
* Deliver technical presentations to explain product capabilities and applications.
* Collaborate closely with the wider sales team and internal technical specialists.
Skills and Experience:
* Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex machinery.
* Good commercial awareness and judgement.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to build rapport with customers quickly and professionally.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and resilience traits.
* Full driver's licence is required.
* Experience within the sheet‐metal or fabrication machinery sector is advantageous but not essential.
