Express Wastewater Solutions is seeking a reliable Service Technician to join our team,
focusing primarily on routine servicing and inspections of onsite sewage treatment
systems, with some basic maintenance work as required, within the Gold Coast, Logan and Ipswich locations.
This role is service-focused, not installation-heavy. It is well suited to someone with hands-
on mechanical aptitude, plumbing or wastewater exposure, or a strong background in field
servicing. A QBCC licence is not required to start — however, holding a relevant licence
or being willing to work toward one is preferred, and support will be provided to obtain
licensing if needed.
Key Responsibilities
Routine Servicing & Maintenance
* Carry out scheduled servicing of household sewage treatment plants (HSTPs).
* Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning components, checking pumps,

* Identify potential issues early and report any major faults requiring rectification.
* Undertake minor repairs and component replacements where required.
Inspections & Testing
* Conduct routine inspections to assess system operation and performance.
* Collect and test water samples in accordance with council requirements.
* Where test results are outside acceptable parameters, discuss practical maintenance
actions with customers to improve results prior to the next service.
Customer Interaction
* Communicate clearly and professionally with customers during service visits.
* Explain system condition, service findings, and any recommended maintenance in
plain language.
* Complete service reports and provide documentation to customers and councils as
required.
Compliance & Reporting
* Follow company procedures and applicable environmental and safety guidelines.
* Complete service records, test results, and reports accurately and on time.
* Submit documentation required for local government compliance.
