Strengthens Parks Victoria's approach to cultural heritage management Work closely with Traditional Owners, Registered Aboriginal Parties and government partners This is a Designated Aboriginal Poition (DAP) About the role The Manager Aboriginal Cultural Heritage is a senior leadership role responsible for leading a team of specialists to protect and manage Aboriginal cultural heritage across Parks Victoria's estate. You will oversee the delivery of cultural heritage compliance under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic) and lead the implementation of operational systems that respond to risks and potential harm to cultural heritage. We work collaboratively, respectfully and with integrity—partnering with Traditional Owners and supporting Parks Victoria staff to deliver culturally informed and compliant outcomes. We're looking for someone with: Extensive experience in Aboriginal cultural heritage management, ideally within land management or the public sector Deep knowledge of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 (Vic) and related policy and governance frameworks Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead teams and deliver results in complex environments Strong understanding of self-determination, joint management and Aboriginal partnership approaches Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, including working with Traditional Owners and government partners Your application must include: Your current Resume A cover letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria as outlined in the position description Completed Aboriginality Form Join our innovative organisation and enjoy what you do, apply today!
