The Australian Government is investing around $230 million over the next 10 years in flood warning infrastructure in Australia's highest flood risk areas. This investment will enable the Bureau to simplify ownership and maintenance of high-priority flood warning assets through the acquisition, upgrade and integration of key local government-owned, and some state government- owned rain and river level gauges into its existing flood warning network across Australia.
In support of this investment, the Bureau's Flood Warning Infrastructure Network (FWIN) Program seeks an experienced Leasing Administrator to assist the Leasing Co-Ordinators, Leasing Specialists and Managers with leasing activities and portfolio management.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Complying with all Bureau work, health and safety policies and procedures, and taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct. Supporting the Leasing Co-ordinators and Leasing Specialists with all tasks associated with securing tenure, ensuring an optimal outcome for the Bureau. Assisting team members in preparing agreements and facilitating document execution. Providing Administration support to all members of the team including lodging internal requests and file management of documentation Ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory requirements and lease administration operating procedures. Maintaining accurate records and reports on leasing-related activities Managing the preparation, sending and return of project related correspondence. Assisting and providing support with planning, gathering information, and managing systems. Complying and operating under the responsibilities and limits of authority of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework and the Land Acquisitions Act 1989. Be aware of, and apply as necessary, the principles and practices of the various elements of the Bureau's Social Justice policies.
