About the role
Northam Dental Surgery is seeking a dedicated and friendly Receptionist/Dental Assistant to join our team. These are full-time roles and are based at our practice located in Northam, Western Australia. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our patients throughout their journey with us.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner
* Scheduling and managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient workflow
* Handling patient enquiries and addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner
* Providing administrative support, including data entry, file management, and billing
* Assisting the dental team with clinical tasks as required, such as sterilising equipment and preparing treatment rooms
* Maintaining a high level of infection control and compliance with practice policies and procedures
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Receptionist or Dental Assistant, preferably within the healthcare/dental industry
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
* Proficient in using computer systems and dental practice management software
* A team player with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in the dental industry
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental assisting or healthcare administration would be an advantage
