About the role
The Industry Training Consultant / Apprentice Advisor is a dual role, combining the responsibilities of both an Industry Training Consultant and an Apprentice Advisor. In this position, the role holder is responsible for promoting and facilitating apprenticeships and traineeships within contracted regions, while also supporting employers and apprentices through regular servicing and mentoring contacts. This dual function helps drive successful commencements, ongoing engagement and positive completion outcomes.
The role includes regular travel throughout Townsville and surrounding areas to meet with employers, apprentices and key stakeholders. It is well suited to someone who enjoys balancing multiple responsibilities, working closely with people, and being active in the community through face-to-face engagement.
Main responsibilities include:
* Promote and market Australian Apprenticeships to employers, schools, job seekers and supply networks, primarily through outbound and inbound phone-based engagement.
* Build, manage and maintain strong relationships with employers, RTOs, JSAs, GTOs and other stakeholders via regular phone contact, supported by email follow-up and CRM updates.
* Implement agreed territory and business development plans to achieve targets, identify growth opportunities and maintain accurate prospect records.
* Liaise with employers, apprentices and other stakeholders to support and facilitate the uptake of apprenticeships and traineeships.
* Provide clear and accurate advice to employers and apprentices regarding the Australian Apprenticeship system, incentive guidelines, training contracts, obligations and VET requirements.
* Identify at-risk apprentices or employers and provide appropriate support, referrals or escalation where required.
* Assist with the accurate completion and processing of apprenticeship and traineeship documentation, ensuring timely and compliant data entry across ASA, Government and State Training Authority systems.
* Maintain accurate file notes, client records, reports and CRM data in line with contractual KPIs.
* Support key account management activities, generate CRM and client reports, and promote organisational services and products.
* Manage customer enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
* Contribute to project work, continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with ASA policies, procedures, confidentiality and WHS requirements.
To be Successful in this role, you will:
Utilise your strong customer services skills gained in retail, hospitality, real estate or sales and transfer into a corporate setting.
* Proven experience in customer service, sales, business development and/or account management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to set goals, organise own workload, prioritise, meet deadlines, and see tasks through to conclusion.
* Excellent computer literacy and keyboard skills.
